http://midsouthhockey.com/page.php?page_id=121924 2021-2022 Youth Recreation Hockey League Information
Youth Recreation Hockey League is a recreational and developmental, hockey program for children ages 5-14. Rec. games and practices are held at the Mid-South Ice House in Olive Branch, MS. The season includes games, practices, and a clinic. The purpose of Rec. Hockey is to provide players with a fun, competitive experience where players can develop and advance to the next age group or higher levels if they choose.
- Seasons run September thru December, January thru March, and late May thru June (short summer season).
- Players are typically on the ice two times per week.
- Unlike many other "recreational" youth sports, game playing time is not determined by players' abilities. Hockey is a series of sprints, not one long marathon. Every player takes multiple shifts every period, regardless of the score.
- USA Hockey Mini-Mite/Mite Cross-Ice Program.
- Official Jersey and Socks Provided.
- Sibling discount: 1st child pays full-fee, each additional child receives $50 discount. ***Must be registered by On-time Registration deadline.
- USA Hockey Registration required (provides sports insurance and 10 issues of USA Hockey Magazine).
- Full equipment required.
